You are cordially invited to the very first food and exclusive Christmas gift market at Braxted Park

Following on from our recent success with very popular and well attended Christmas parties we are launching a Christmas market to showcase local, high quality, unusual and affordable art, crafts, design and gifts. Discover amazing gift ideas and delicious tasting experiences all wrapped up in a food festival curated by celebrity chef Tim Maddams. We are focusing on filling our Pavilion with the best of local independent retailers, small producers and craftspeople.

There's something for everyone at our first ever Christmas Food and Gift Market.

The countdown to Christmas begins at Braxted Park, where better to start your Christmas shopping than our first ever Christmas Food and Gift Market?  It is truly going to be the best place to start the festive season.  In addition to purchasing amazing one off and locally handcrafted gifts for your loved ones we have two fun packed days of live music, cookery masterclasses and children’s entertainment planned.

Children’s Entertainment

We are delighted to have Santa’s reindeer visiting us in their vintage sleigh, come and meet them in their stable and learn all about these magnificent creatures.  Father Christmas is a little too busy to make it this year but Mother Christmas would love for children to join her in decorating gingerbread in her wonderfully cosy and aromatic kitchen.

Musical Entertainment

Be enchanted by the beautiful voices of local primary school choirs who will be singing in our Walled Garden.  Christmas spirit will be sky high after listening!  We also have local community choirs performing such as The Big Sing and Funky Voices.  The UK’s finest vintage vocal trio The Rockabellas will be bringing a touch of vintage sparkle to both days of the market.

Cookery Masterclasses

Why not learn an impressive new skill while you are here by joining one of our fantastic cookery masterclasses with celebrity chef Tim Maddams on Saturday 1st December and Archie Clark of The Kochi Kitchen on Sunday 2nd December.  Tim is a chef, food writer and cookery teacher with a love of the Great British countryside and wild food. Tim has written and published the River Cottage Game Handbook and his knowledge of game is impeccable.  He focusses on producing amazing dishes using ethically produced, sustainable and locally sourced ingredients.  Archie Clark runs The Kochi Kitchen which is inspired by the wonderful food and culture of Kerala, South India.  The step by step tuition will be great fun as well as easy to follow and informative.  At the end of the session you’ll have a new skill and something delicious to eat!
