The Braxted Park Christmas Market is returning for 2020!

Following an incredibly successful launch in 2018 Braxted Park is delighted to announce its Christmas Market is returning on 27th, 28th and 29th November for three days of Christmas shopping and festive fun.

Saturday 28th November 10am -9pm
Sunday 29th November 2020 10am -4pm

The weekend will begin with an amazing evening event on Friday 27th November, 4pm until 9pm, with fabulous family fun, live music and a spectacular Christmas light switch on ceremony.  Throughout Saturday 28th November and Sunday 29th November you can look forward to incredible music in our “Big Top” with performances from award winning local musician Zoe Alexandria, local choirs and bands, and star of Britain’s Got Talent and The Voice Ronan Parke. The stage will be hosted throughout the weekend by legendary Capital radio and tv star Neil Fox.

Along with demonstrations by local food producers, including Paul Kelly from Kelly Turkeys, the food court will be open Friday-Sunday with an extensive array of delicious food and drinks from the local area. The gift markets will be selling seasonal delights, local crafts and unique items, which are perfect for those hunting for that special Christmas gift.

Younger visitors can visit Mrs Christmas’s Kitchen to listen to her read a Christmas story and decorate an edible treat to take home (tickets to be booked in advance) and for those visitors wanting to get stuck in and create their own Christmas gifts and decorations we will have pre-bookable workshops running throughout the weekend.

All visitors to the Braxted Park Christmas Market must hold a ticket for the day they wish to attend. General Admission Tickets £6 per adult, with under 16s admitted free.

Additional tickets required for Mother Christmas Kitchen Experience, Festive Cookery workshops and Christmas Wreath workshop.

Free parking available onsite, including disabled parking.

Our visitors want superior merchandise and delicious tasting experiences so we are focused on attracting producers of the highest quality.

  • The cost to exhibit for the duration of the market is £300 including VAT. We are unable to accept exhibitors for one day only.
  • We have space for 120 exhibitors in three gift market marquees. We have already sold 50% of these so you would be wise to book soon. Our marquees will be heated and lit with a stable, sturdy wooden floor and there will be overnight security on site for the duration of the market.
  • Each stand will be 2m by 2m and includes a table and up to two chairs, we will cloth the table if you require. Electricity is available at an additional cost of £30 for the whole weekend and boosted, private Wifi is available for £10 for the weekend. These and any other special requirements must be booked in advance.
  • As well as an increased number of stallholders, we are also putting a considerable amount of money into a full advertising campaign to attract even more visitors than last year and to increase their dwell time at the market.
  • We have a media campaign planned with Radio Essex and have agreed a 10K advertising deal with Essex Life. Our marketing strategy also includes extensive local leafletting, station advertising, events listings and of course a huge social media campaign.

Browse for Christmas presents in our gift market, with over 120 producers selling seasonal delights, local crafts and unique items to suit all pockets. Our food court will be open Friday-Sunday with an extensive array of festive and delicious food and drinks including hot chocolate, mulled wine, Christmas cocktails, traditional burgers and hot dogs, mac and cheese in an array in different flavours, vegan options, pizza and more.

Join us in our very own Braxted Park Big Top where visitors can look forward to a fabulous timetable of entertainment from local musician Zoe Alexandria, local choirs and bands, and star of Britain’s Got Talent and The Voice Ronan Parke. The stage will be hosted throughout the weekend by legendary Capital radio and tv star Neil Fox. 

For those wanting to pick up some new skills in time for the festive season we will have demonstrations by a number of experts in their field, including Paul Kelly from Kelly’s Turkeys. For those wanting to get hands-on, the brilliant Cookery School at Braxted Park will be running a number of festive themed cookery workshops, and we’ll have an expert florist onsite showing guests how to create their very own Christmas centrepiece and wreath.  Both the Cookery School and floristry workshops are pre-bookable and require an additional ticket (click here for more information)

Younger visitors to the market have not been forgotten. As well as performances of a world class interactive, outdoor panto extravaganza, repeated throughout the market, children will be able to visit Mrs Christmas’s Kitchen to listen to her read a Christmas story and decorate an edible treat to take home (additional ticket required, approx. 30 minute activity, not suitable for children under 12 months)

General Admission tickets required for all attending adults. Children under 16 admitted free. Ample free parking available on site.  Additional tickets required for Mother Christmas’ Kitchen, Christmas Wreath workshop and Christmas Cookery workshop.
